The story

About this journey

The Mekong is a working river. People still live their lives by its level and colour. We travel in a small wooden boat, sleep on the deck under mosquito nets, and eat what the floating markets offer.

The boat as a room

Seven days on the same vessel, with the same small group, lets the journey settle into something rare. The boat becomes a room. The river becomes a clock.

What you'll see

Floating markets at first light, rice barges, schools where children paddle to class, a Buddhist island where monks wave from the bank. Plenty of nothing in between, which is the point.

Free cancellation up to 60 days before departure. From 60 to 30 days, 50% refund. Under 30 days, no refund — travel insurance is strongly recommended for what we cannot cover.
