This Privacy Policy explains how Travira collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform. We treat your data with care — as quietly as we treat the rest of the journey.
1. Who We Are
Travira is a curated travel platform operated by an individual sole proprietor based in California, United States. Mailing address: 5444 Saint Andrews Dr, Stockton, CA 95219.
2. What We Collect
Account information: name, email, password (hashed). Provided by you when registering.
Booking information: travel dates, party size, special requests, communication with hosts.
Payment information: processed by Stripe. Travira receives transaction metadata (amount, currency, success/fail) but never your full card number.
Communication: messages exchanged with hosts and our support, when used through the platform.
Usage data: pages visited, items viewed, approximate location (from IP), browser type, and similar technical data.
Cookies: see our Cookies page.
3. Why We Collect
- To create and operate your account
- To process bookings and payments
- To enable communication between you and hosts
- To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, payout statements, password resets)
- To improve the platform (anonymized usage analytics)
- To comply with legal obligations (tax records, fraud prevention)
4. Third Parties
We share information with the following service providers, only as needed to deliver the platform:
- Stripe (payment processing) — Stripe Privacy Policy
- DeepSeek (AI content generation for hosts, anonymized) — no buyer or payment data is sent
- Email delivery (WordPress / SMTP provider) — for transactional and support emails
- Hosting provider — for the technical operation of the website
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Your Rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
If you are in California (CCPA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and to opt out of sale (we do not sell).
To exercise any right, write to us via the contact page. We respond within 30 days.
6. Data Retention
Account and booking records are kept as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure for accounting and tax obligations. Communication logs are kept for 2 years. Anonymized analytics may be kept indefinitely.
7. Security
Travira uses HTTPS encryption, secure password hashing, and reasonable industry practices to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; we recommend using a strong, unique password.
8. Children
Travira is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be communicated by email or platform notice.

Cookies and Visitor Tracking
Travira uses a first-party cookie (tvt_session) to recognize returning visitors and track aggregate pageview metrics (which pages, how long, scroll depth). A separate consent cookie (tvt_consent) stores your accept/decline choice for one year.
What we record:
- A hashed, salted version of your IP address (we cannot reverse it)
- Country (from Cloudflare geo headers)
- Short browser/OS summary (e.g. “chrome / macos”)
- Pages you visit, time spent, scroll depth, outbound link clicks
If you decline cookies via the banner, no tracking events are recorded. You can change your choice any time by clearing site cookies. Tracking data is automatically deleted after 90 days. To request your data or delete your account, see our Data request page.
