The story
About this journey
Patagonia is enormous and indifferent in a way that turns out to be healing. You walk it not to conquer it but to be in proper relation to something much older than you.
What we walk
Sections of the W and the O circuits, paced for slowness rather than speed. Daily distances are 12–20 km. We sleep in refugios — simple but good — with shared meals.
The fitness honesty
This is the most physical journey we offer. You should be comfortable walking 6–8 hours a day with a daypack. The land does not negotiate.

I came back changed in the way that matters — slowly, quietly.

Why slow
Travira makes a small number of offerings, with small groups and long timescales. Slow, for us, is not a marketing word. It is the only honest way we know to do this — to give a thing enough room to change you.
