Sleeping Stones — A Cave Lodge Above the Valleys

Sleeping Stones is a small cave lodge in Göreme, restored over six years by the Yıldız family. The rooms are carved into living tuff, with modern beds, private bathrooms, and slow Wi-Fi when you actually want it.

Mornings start before sunrise, when the first balloons rise over Love Valley. The terrace is shared but never crowded — we keep occupancy capped at six rooms so the kitchen and the silence both stay generous.

Breakfast is included — village bread, olives, white cheese, two kinds of jam, eggs from the neighbour. Lunch and dinner can be arranged with the family kitchen if you ask the day before. The Yıldız family speaks Turkish and slow English; their teenage daughter speaks fast English.

This is a place for people who like cave-cool afternoons, cold mornings, and the kind of silence that arrives once the wind drops at sunset.
